It worksĪlso "runas /user:DOMAIN\USERNAME (cmd.exe) or (program.exe)" - It works.ġ. Using the cmd line "runas /user:DOMAIN\USERNAME mmc c:\windows\system32\dsa.msc" yields "error 740 - requires elevation".īut if I were to change the command to "runas /user:DOMAIN\USERNAME cmd.exe /c mmc c:\windows\system32\dsa.msc". But the issue remains, where I am unable to right click on an exe (IE, SQL), msc(dsa.msc, gpedit.msc) or package and run as different user I enabled a registry hack to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\ShowRunasDifferentuserinStart" and set in a value of 1(HEX) to enable run as different user in start and am able to do it now. The option works on Windows 10 v1607/ v1511 The version we are using is Windows 10 v1703. I have run into an issue where I am not able to -> "Run as Different User" in Windows 10.
